Quick answer

TACoS = ad spend ÷ total sales × 100, while ACoS = ad spend ÷ ad sales × 100. Spending ₹20,000 to make ₹80,000 from ads, with ₹2 lakh of total sales, gives an ACoS of 25% but a TACoS of 10%, with 60% of sales organic. A falling TACoS over time means ads are lifting organic sales.

How to use this calculator

  1. Take ad spend and ad sales for one period from your ad console.
  2. Take total sales for the same period from your business report.
  3. Track TACoS every month, not just ACoS.

Formula

ACoS = ad spend ÷ ad sales × 100

TACoS = ad spend ÷ total sales × 100

ROAS = ad sales ÷ ad spend

Use the same date range for ad and total sales so the ratios are accurate.

Frequently asked questions

What is a good TACoS?
Many sellers aim for 5–15%. A new launch may run higher; a mature product should be lower.
Why is my ACoS high but TACoS low?
Most of your sales are organic, so ads are a small share of revenue. That is healthy.
Is TACoS shown in Seller Central?
Not directly in all reports. Divide ad spend by total sales from your Business Reports.
