The number of days between two dates counts every day from the start date up to, but not including, the end date, unless you choose to include it. From 1 January 2026 to 2 October 2026 is 274 days, or 39 weeks and 1 day, or 9 months and 1 day. Include the end date for durations like hotel nights versus days, notice periods or leave.
