How CouponTalk Expert Reviews Checks Our Tools
CouponTalk Expert Reviews is the CouponTalk team that checks our calculators and seller tools before they go live and keeps them up to date. This page explains what we check, how often, and how to report a mistake.
What we check on every tool
- Rates and rules: marketplace fees, GST rates and other rules come from the official source wherever one exists, such as Amazon, Flipkart and Meesho seller fee pages, the GST portal and CBIC notifications, BIS standards, RBI directions for gold loans and the Income-tax Act for tax on gold. Each seller tool and each gold, GST and loan calculator shows the date its rates were last checked.
- Formulas: every formula is written out on the page, so you can check the maths yourself.
- Worked examples: the numbers in each page’s quick answer are run through the calculator, and we only publish when they match.
- Editable inputs: fees and rates that change are never hidden. You can overwrite any pre-filled value with the figure from your own seller dashboard.
- Mobile and accessibility: each tool is tested on a phone-sized screen and works without signing up.
How often we review
- Seller fee and commission tools: every 3 months, and soon after a marketplace announces a fee change.
- Tax and EMI tools: when GST rates, RBI rules or bank charges change.
- Size charts and home tools: at least once a year.
The “Reviewed by CouponTalk Expert Reviews” line on a tool page shows the date of its last review.
What our tools are and are not
Our tools give estimates to help you plan. They are not tax, legal or financial advice. For tax filing or large business decisions, confirm the numbers with a chartered accountant or your marketplace account manager. No brand or seller pays to change a calculator’s result.
Found a mistake?
If a fee, rate or result looks wrong, tell us through our contact page with the tool name and what you expected. We check every report and update the tool and its review date when a fix is needed.
