Quick answer

For low-priced items under ₹1,000, all three marketplaces now charge little or no commission, so shipping and fixed fees decide which pays more. Amazon adds a closing fee and weight handling fee, Flipkart a fixed fee (and shipping above 500 g or for national orders), and Meesho only shipping. Returns, which are usually highest on Meesho, often matter more than fees. Estimates based on rules checked on 2 October 2026.

How to use this calculator

  1. Enter one price and product cost.
  2. Adjust each marketplace's fees to match your dashboards (defaults are 2026 estimates for a 500 g item under ₹1,000).
  3. Enter your typical return rate on each platform.

Formula

Net per order = Price ÷ 1.05 (GST) − Cost − Fees × 1.18 (GST on fees)

After returns = Net × (1 − return rate) − Return cost × return rate (₹100 per return assumed)

This is a quick comparison. Use the dedicated Amazon, Flipkart and Meesho calculators for detail.

Fees and rates checked on 2 October 2026. Marketplaces revise rate cards often, so confirm current figures in your seller dashboard before you set prices.

Frequently asked questions

Which is cheaper for sellers: Amazon, Flipkart or Meesho?
Under ₹1,000, Flipkart and Meesho are often cheapest on fees, but Meesho usually has higher returns. Amazon charges more in fixed fees but tends to have lower return rates and higher prices. Run your own numbers.
Should I sell on all three?
Many Indian sellers do. Use different prices per platform to keep the same margin, and watch return rates closely on each.
