Quick answer
Measure your waist where the waistband sits, usually just below the belly button, not your jeans size. Most Indian innerwear brands, such as XYXX and DaMENSCH, size in steps of about 6 cm: S is 74–80 cm, M is 80–86 cm, L is 86–91 cm, XL is 91–97 cm and XXL is 97–103 cm. Jockey's own chart runs larger, so check it before you buy Jockey. If you fall on a boundary, take the larger size for boxers and the smaller for briefs.

- Pick the style; boxers fit looser, so you can size up if between sizes.

Not quite. Jeans are labelled by waist in inches, but often fit lower and looser. Measure where the underwear waistband sits for the right size.

A true 32-inch (81 cm) waist is M in most Indian brands.
Do briefs and trunks use the same size?
Yes, within one brand. Trunks and boxers have longer legs but the same waistband sizes.
