Quick answer

Measure where the kamarbandh will sit, over the clothes you will wear with it. Over a saree, the pleats and petticoat add about 2–3 inches, so measure with the saree on or add 2.5 inches. A belly chain on bare skin needs about 1 inch of room. Most kamarbandhs have 2–4 inches of adjustable links, so order the length that puts you in the middle.

How to measure

  1. Measure where the chain will sit, at the waist or lower on the hips.
  2. Choose how you will wear it.
  3. Order the length shown; adjustable links handle the rest.

Should a bridal kamarbandh be tight?
Snug enough not to slip, loose enough to sit and move. Try it on with the outfit before the event.
