Frequently asked questions

Does CouponTalk give loans?

No. CouponTalk is not a bank or lender. We explain finance options, help you calculate EMIs and, if you ask us to, pass your enquiry to a finance partner with your consent.

Is no-cost EMI really free?

The interest is given back as a discount, but 18% GST on the interest and any processing fee are usually still charged, so you may pay slightly more than the price.

Can I buy on EMI without a credit card?

Often yes: debit card EMI, cardless EMI and consumer durable loans at the store are available to eligible buyers, subject to the lender's checks.

What do lenders usually check?

KYC documents such as PAN and Aadhaar, your income or bank statement, and your credit history. Approval is never guaranteed.
