Measure where the kamarbandh will sit, over the clothes you will wear with it. Over a saree, the pleats and petticoat add about 2–3 inches, so measure with the saree on or add 2.5 inches. A belly chain on bare skin needs about 1 inch of room. Most kamarbandhs have 2–4 inches of adjustable links, so order the length that puts you in the middle.
| Waist | Over a saree (measured without it) | On skin or measured over clothes |
|---|---|---|
| 66 cm (26") | 28.5" | 27" |
| 71 cm (28") | 30.5" | 29" |
| 76 cm (30") | 32.5" | 31" |
| 81 cm (32") | 34.5" | 33" |
| 86 cm (34") | 36.5" | 35" |
| 91 cm (36") | 38.5" | 37" |
| 97 cm (38") | 40.5" | 39" |
Fabric thickness varies. Measuring over the actual outfit is most accurate.
