Kids charts work best by height, with age as a guide, because children of the same age differ a lot in size. List height, chest and waist for each age band: 3–4 years is about 104 cm tall with a 56 cm chest. Show cm, which parents use at the doctor, or both units. Remind parents in the note to choose by height, not age.
| Age | Height (cm) | Chest (cm) | Waist (cm) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1–2 years | 92 | 53 | 51 |
| 2–3 years | 98 | 55 | 52 |
| 3–4 years | 104 | 56 | 53 |
| 4–5 years | 110 | 58 | 54 |
| 5–6 years | 116 | 60 | 55 |
| 6–7 years | 122 | 62 | 56 |
| 7–8 years | 128 | 64 | 57 |
| 8–9 years | 134 | 66 | 59 |
| 9–10 years | 140 | 70 | 61 |
| 10–11 years | 146 | 73 | 63 |
