Quick answer

To calculate a discount, multiply the price by the discount percentage and subtract it: ₹2,000 at 40% off is ₹2,000 − ₹800 = ₹1,200. Stacked discounts multiply rather than add, so 40% off plus an extra 10% coupon is a 46% total discount, not 50%.

How to use this calculator

  1. Enter the MRP or listed price.
  2. Add the sale discount, then any extra coupon percentage applied at checkout.
  3. Add any flat ₹ coupon or cashback to see your true final price.

Formula

Final price = Price × (1 − Discount%) × (1 − Extra%) − Flat coupon

Total discount % = (Price − Final price) ÷ Price × 100

Example: ₹1,000 with 40% + 10% off = ₹1,000 × 0.6 × 0.9 = ₹540 (46% off).

Results are estimates to help you plan. Confirm the final price, tax and offer terms at checkout.

Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate 20% off?
Multiply the price by 0.8. For ₹1,500, 20% off is ₹1,500 × 0.8 = ₹1,200, a saving of ₹300.
Is 40% + 10% off the same as 50% off?
No. The extra 10% applies to the already-reduced price, so 40% + 10% = 46% total. On ₹1,000 you pay ₹540, not ₹500.
How do I find the discount percentage?
Subtract the sale price from the original price, divide by the original price and multiply by 100. ₹1,000 reduced to ₹750 is (250 ÷ 1,000) × 100 = 25% off.
